My personal mission is to be a facilitator of learning and to assist with maximizing the strengths and gifts of each member in our learning community.
As an instructional leader, I must support the development of strong communities for learning to meet each student’s learning needs. I must help my learning community know each student well. What are the strengths of each student and what are their areas for improvement? How are the students included in their learning process and improvement? Who are their learning partners and how will their partners support their learning process? Connecting family and community will be essential to this partnership. - to develop and align mission and vision statements to support student, teacher, classroom, school, and district goals;
- to create positive school cultures, facilitating and fostering relationships that are inclusive and equitable, creating caring environments that support student and staff success;
- to use facilitative leadership, guiding professional learning communities that focus on linking teacher learning to student learning through constructive problem solving processes;
- to support implementation of systems of continuous improvement, embedding data collection and analysis with reflective practice;
- to integrate analysis and reflection both individually and collectively into daily practice in order to improve teaching and learning in each school’s setting; and
- to use adaptive change leadership, creating innovative solutions that break through traditional barriers to transform schools and organizations for the 21st century and beyond.
